My name is Tova, and as a family documentary and birth photographer, I am consistently awed by the raw beauty of birth. Each time I am invited to join a birth space, I put all my energy into capturing every detail of one of the most transformative days of your life— the day you become a parent.

As NYC’s most experienced birth photographer, I am passionate about preserving the power and depth of your emotion, and the love that’s unique to your birth story.  Regardless of where and how you give birth, the day your baby is born will change you in indescribable ways…and looking back at your birth photos is the best way to understand how this roller-coaster of a journey began.

So….how does it work?

I’ve photographed over 250 birth stories across the New York Metro Area, and I’ve worked in almost every birth space across New York City. I have experience documenting hospital births, home births, freestanding birthing center & hospital birthing center births, surrogacy stories, NICU stays, going home stories, and much more. 

Every kind of birth story is beautiful and worthy of being documented. To that end, I am fully committed to honoring you, and supporting your choices.
